haha i just set up a tripod and a timer, then set the focus for where i want the focus to be, then stand in that spot and take a portrait! it’s really hard to explain. i was going to do a tutorial on it, but everyone ended up wanting one on headshots instead! /:

kittyngphotography asked: if you want to do a headshot of somebody in front of a white background, do you go to a studio or just get a white wall? you could go either way! but if you just use a white wall, it’s cheaper (MAJOR plus) but you’ll need good natural light, meaning you need to shoot around midday. for studios though, the lighting looks a lot more professional, it just costs money obviously.
